Residences Boasting Leafy Outlooks.

Expansive living and dining areas connect to outdoor terraces seamlessly and offer uplifting views over lush gardens, established tree canopies or the city skyline. The Woods Bagot design draws on the verandah-and-hedge motif of the Scotch Hill precinct's storied Victorian homes, applying a contemporary interpretation to bestow a unique character.

Immersed in Nature.

Unlike conventional new developments, The Woodburn offers the rare advantage of an already-established setting from the day you arrive. Developer, Hamton has preserved 77 mature trees on site and will enhance the landscape further with 151 newly planted trees — creating a private, lush sanctuary for residents to enjoy from the moment they move in.

Through the protection and restoration of biodiversity habitat and expansion of natural landscape, Hamton, in collaboration with Tract Landscape Architects, has created an Exemplary Nature Based Cities project with a commitment to a better future.

Our aspiration for Scotch Hill Gardens is consistent with our belief that all of our development projects are opportunities to improve Melbourne’s urban landscape, while surpassing industry standards and delivering exceptional levels of liveability.

We place great importance on developing authentic, enduring connections and considering the human side of what we do.

Ark Resources

Environmental Sustainable Design

Ark Resources doesn’t just “do” Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD). It’s a genuine passion for the entire team, collectively driven by a desire to educate and challenge beliefs around ESD. Ark Resources shows proactive consideration of the impacts of climate change and adds genuine value to all building and construction projects.

For Scotch Hill Gardens, Ark Resources’ ESD framework has identified the key ESD objectives for the development of the site, detailing the strategy and specific initiatives incorporated within individual buildings and confirming the key performance outcomes are delivered. It’s through this framework that Scotch Hill Gardens will achieve 5 Star Greenstar ratings and 7 star NatHERS energy ratings for all buildings and is committing to net zero carbon certification based on the Federal Government’s Climate Active framework.

Nature based cities

NATURE-BASED DEVELOPMENT ACCREDITATION

Nature Based Cities brings together leading minds from business, development, research and planning to champion a better way to develop cities in harmony with nature.

A growing proportion of the global population lives in cities – humanity is now predominantly urban. As we face global-scale pressures and challenges of climate change and sustainability, the health and liveability of our precincts and cities, and their contributions towards addressing these global challenges is increasingly important.

Just as many of the sustainability challenges we face emanate from cities, so too are cities potentially the locations for the solutions to these challenges. Creating nature-based cities, in which trees, living landscape and green spaces are essential elements that are integrated in the urban fabric, the infrastructure and the spaces and places within our cityscapes, is critical for sustainable and liveable urban futures.
